Activities of the year
- 50 RRC volunteers were taken to Coimbatore to visit Red Ribbon Express which travelled all over India with the motive of creating AIDS awareness among the public.
- 50 RRC volunteers attended a meeting on Women's Legal Rights at IMA Hall Udumalpet.
- RRC of our college conducted AIDS Awareness Programme at Malayandipattinam village.
- Two RRC Volunteers attended "Celebrating Life" Residential Programme at Nilgiris form 18th March to 21st March2009.
- The RRC organised "AIDS Awareness Programme" at our college on 27-2-09.The RRC District Manager Mr.Vaitheeshwaran was the chief Guest. In connection with the programme various competitions were conducted on the Topic "Role of Youth in eradication of AIDS .Winners were awarded cash prize.
- On 1.12.2009 "World AIDS Day" was celebrated in the college.
- On 11.2.2010 RRC member's Orientation Training-Peer Education Training programme was organized.
- On 23.2.2010 Drawing competition on the topic "World Free of AIDS" was conducted.
- On 24.2.2010 Interactive training programme was organized with HIV positive speaker.
- On 2.3.2010 Blood donation awareness programme was organized.
- TANSACS (Tamilnadu State Aids Control Society) organized a Fine Arts competition "Youth Carnival" at University level at Bharathiar University on 24.07.2010 & 25.07 2010. 21 Students from our college participated in various competitions and secured Third Prize in group dance and oratory.
- On World Aids Day (01.12.10) TANSACS organized a meeting at Udumalpet Taluk Office. The meeting was presided by Mr.Samayamurthy, Collector, Tirupur.25 RRC Volunteers attended the meeting.
