Objectives

  • To introduce vocationalisation in an informal way.
  • To develop sizeable segment of students at the U.G. level to the world of work through various leisure time activities at very nominal fees.
  • Preparation of students to self-employment.
  • To increase job opportunities
  • Personality development.
  • To fulfill the national goals of manpower development and removal of unemployment.
  • To connect education with mental and physical development

Highlights

  • A separate block within the campus is given and named as “Leisure Time Activities Centre”.
  • The following classes are offered under the auspicious of the club to empower the students
    Karate Typewriting and Short hand
    Dance Hindi
    Music Sanskrit
    Tailoring and Doll making Yoga and Meditation
  • Each classes is governed by a body which consists of the class representative, the part time teacher, a staff member of our college, who is in charge of the class, the student secretary, the convenor and the Chief-Advisor of the club
  • Attendance registers are maintained for all the classes which are duly signed by the part time teacher and by the Principal
  • All the classes are handled by well qualified and trained part time teachers.
  • The timings of each class is according to the convenience of the students usually from morning 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and evening 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on all weekdays. On Saturdays and Sundays also some of the classes are conducted.

Future Plan

  • Classes on Keyboard, Violin, Veena, Photography, Videography, Interior Decoration, Flower arrangement & Painting.
  • Beautician course.
  • Sending karate students to national and international competitions.
  • Increasing the number of sewing machines and typewriters.
  • Examination for Sanskrit students- our college be the examination center.
  • Motivating the students to appear in examinations for Type writing, Hindi and Sanskrit.
  • Certificates to music and dance students.
  • One hour programme by Leisure Time Activities Club every year.
  • Marketing the garments stitched by our students .
  • A separate well furnished building for the club.
