The College has to its credit seven spacious laboratories with latest gadgets and equipments, quite a number of well-furnished class rooms, 2 audio-video rooms with OHP facilities, well designed Computer Labs, one Language Lab, a large auditorium and computerized library with reprographic and Internet access. The leisure time activities center is a noteworthy feature.


G.V.G has to its credit fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology lab which has the most modern facilities and an good inventory of equipments, Chemicals and specimens are maintained to enable the students to do advanced investigatory projects.The facilities at each Lab are being constantly upgraded to help the students to stay in tune with changing trends of the industry.

Department of Physics • A well equipped laboratory facility for regular practical sessions at the undergraduate level. • A regular practical session at the major level utilizes six CROs, fifteen Audio Oscillators and three Intel microprocessors for the electronics lab. • Separate BG lab is available to carry out BG experiments comfortably. • As a unique feature of the department, separate Digital Photography lab is available with necessary Digital camera, Scanner and Computers for Image Processing. • As a part of the application oriented curriculum Medical Instrumentation, the medical instruments like Digital BP monitors, Analog BP monitors, Glucometer - Blood sugar level measuring instrument, Haemocytometer - to measure the Hemoglobin content in the blood, ECG machine - to analyze the Heartbeat are available. • An OHP, Video Cassettes, Cds and Computer are available to demonstrate experiments and to supplement the regular theory classes. Department of Chemistry • As a well-equipped laboratory, the practical sessions can accommodate 60 students at a time in comfort. • The uniqueness of the laboratory is highlighted is the utilization of the deionised water obtained from the rain water stored using the rain Harvesting tank built with a storage capacity of 2,80,000 lt. • As a safety oriented scheme centralized LPG connection within the laboratory is employed for Practical sessions. • Separate lab is available with 35 chemical balances installed to carry out the weighing process successfully. • Department Physical chemistry laboratory is well equipped with modern instruments like Photoelectric Colorimeter, PH-meter, conductivity - meter, electrical centrifuge and electrophoretic apparatus. • Educational aids such as Overhead Projectors automatic slide Projectors, computer and Video Cassettes are made use of from the laboratory. Department of Zoology • A well-equipped laboratory to carryout regular practical sessions with ease employs both Compound and Dissection Microscopes with crane magnifiers. • The Sericulture lab sessions are carried out with the Silkworm rearing using the Mulberry plants grown in the campus by the students themselves. Also some of the larvae are used for regular dissection classes. • The special instruments like Autoclave and Electrophoresis are installed in the lab for Sterilizing purpose and for separating the proteins. • The lab facilities for the clinical laboratory techniques includes the utilization of instruments like Haemocytometer, Haemoglobinometer, Urinometer, Westergren apparatus for Erythocytes sedimentation rate etc., Incubator and PH meter and a computer are available. • To carryout the dissection sessions more effectively, compatible TV, VCR and Videocassettes are available in the laboratory.

Language Laboratory • B.A English Literature has an additional Course-Vocational course in Functional English, with Language Lab facilities. It is a UGC grant programme. • The Lab contains a teacher's consul with twenty booths and it is a centre for developing correct English Pronunciation, Accent, Speed in reading and Fluency in Spoken English. It is a multi functional centre with a OHP and Audio-Video equipment to facilitate learning English in an unconscious relax-play-way method.

Audio video cell of the college library has 3 separate divisions, one each for Science, Arts & Languages. Each division is fully equipped with a color T.V.,V.C.R.,O.H.P slide projector, Radiogram & Cassettes on various topics related to the course of study or on common issues. This facilitates the proper engagement of students to utilize their free time to enhance the skills and update their knowledge..

The College Library is spacious, with a stock of more than 30,000 books and materials on various subjects. It is fully computerised following OPAC System. Reprographic facility is also available. The college subscribes to world class National and International journals, subject related magazines and standard newspapers.
Library Rules

The College offers comfortable accomadations to girls coming from far off places. The hostel has three blocks named ANNAM, PADMAM and DEEPAM. The mess provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and is run on dividing system. Indoor games and Audio-Video recreational facilities are available.

There is a canteen within the campus that provides coffee, tea, cool drinks, snacks, fried food etc. for all non-resident students, teachers and others.

To cater to the needs of the students coming from distant villages, the college bus is pressed into service according to the shift-system timings at a reasonable cost.
