Environmental Club ensures the purity of thoughts to endeavor the thirst to preserve our nature" GO Green" is our slogan to enlighten the gleam of young minds for building a pollution free nation.
Our Goals are:
- Creating awareness to preserve our forest and wildlife.
- Encouraging participation in inter -department and inter -college competitions to flash out the
Young talents.
- Dignifying the importance of country's wealthy natural resources.
Activities of the year 2010 -2011
- Environmental awareness seminar cum Exhibition was conducted from 01.10.2010 to 03.10.2010.
Prominent Speakers of the seminar are:
- Mr.Elangovan, Executive Engineer, PWD, Environmental cell Division, Coimbatore.
- Mr.N.Ganesan,Chief Engineer, Environmental cell Division,Thiruchiapalli.
- Mr.Pannerselvan, Executive Engineer, PWD, WRO, Thirumoorthy Irrigation Division, Udumalpet
- Mr.Susan, Writer, Coimbatore
- Mr.Gopalakrishnan, Pasumaimara Iyarkai Padhukappu Kalagam
- Mr.Selvaraj, farmer, using only organic manure
Nearly 500 students and public were benefited.
- Students participated in the District level competitions organized in connection with Wild life week celebrations at Tiruppur, Pollachi and Chennai.
- Special programmes such as Group Discussions, Paper Presentation, Drama and Quiz related to environmental awareness were conducted by the students of various departments regularly.
- Model display competition was conducted for the students on the topic "Environmental Pollution".
- Survey of near by villages regarding environment related problems and submission of the reports by the students.
