Department Of Economics

The Department of Economics established in the year 1956-57 with the mission of enabling the students to acquire a strong conceptual base in traditional subjects as well as acquainting them with the latest developments of the globalised world. The department upgraded as Post Graduate department during 1987 and attained the status of Research department in the year 2003. The highlights of the activities of the department in the span of five decades reflect the placement of our students in various higher educational institutions, private concerns and several government departments.
